She did, however, have to work 10 times harder than other males to get where she did as women always have to.
Why are you so threatened?
Her sacrifices and those of others who were wounded in the war in Iraq should not be forgotten and those who disagreed with the Iraq war should especially be remembered as victims of George Bush and those who voted for him.
Our thoughts should be with our soldiers who are currently serving in Iraq and in other place. Let our prayers be with those who are sacrificing for their country. Republicans never cared about our soldiers. They care only about their war and those who agree with it. If soldiers agree with it then they are patriotic. If they don't they are tools to advance the Republican voters's immoral war.
Lets erect monuments to "Peace makers" Jesus,Esther,Ruth, the daughters of Zelophehad and Mary of Magdala,Sariah and all women who dispised war and erect monuments to all the "Daughters of Peaceable Things".

World War II veteran Rosalind J. Henneman, 90, is honored Monday at an event for female veterans at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City. She trained pilots as a member of the WAVES from 1943 to 1945. Out of the 23.6 million veterans in the United States, 1.8 million are female, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

What a horrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

She also states that she went through the same training as male Guardsmen, "never getting special treatment because of her gender." That is simply not true. The requirements for the Physical Fitness Test that all soldiers are required to take are much lower for females. Specifically for push-ups and the two mile run. She did get special treatment when she took the PFT, as all females do.
This is for good reason, because if females were tested to the same standard as males for physical fitness, there would be very few women in the Army or Marines.
