CJ's first shot of the game nothing but net. Jazz are 5-0 with CJ as a starter. Look at AK's numbers off the bench. All you CJ haters can say all you want but we are winning with him in the starting lineup and Harpring limping around at home.
Kudos to Jerry | 10:22 p.m. Nov. 7, 2008
Congradulations on number 1000 with the Jazz. Jerry does it his way, he may not have ever won the coach of the year but he is consistenly in the top 5. I think Miller realised that trading out a coach every few years does not accomplish much. It is like a team that has been together for a few years is good for an extra 5 wins a year. The genius of Jerry was during the rebuilding years after Karl and John left and he had to do more with less. He would scrape together a team by committee and still be competitive. He may not be a players coach (no head bands)but they respect him.

Of course some coaches have such an intense personality that if they stayed more that a couple of seasons the players would rebel ie. Larry Brown and Pat Riley.

Jerry good luck on the next 1000

To all you haters out there........SF position: AK and CJ combined for 23 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. We should trade them both!!

Seriously... how blessed are we as fans? I'm so grateful for the quality teams we've had year after year after year. Jerry Sloan is a huge reason why the Jazz are always competitive. Thanks Jerry! I wouldn't have anyone else as my coach!

1,000 wins with the same franchise...as a lifelong Jazz fan who saw my first game when the Golden Griff was still golden and Sloan was an assistant, I have to say it's been an amazing run. Personally, I hope Sloan lives (and coaches here) forever.
Well deserved. | 10:33 p.m. Nov. 7, 2008
Congrats to Coach Sloan and the Jazz on this accomplishment! Like him or not, Jerry Sloan does things on the up and up and deserves any honor the Jazz can bestow on him.

Here's to hoping the players will put it all together and finally bring him, the organization and most importantly our state a much deserved championship this year!

Thank you Coach Sloan for your years of service and for always doing your part to keep the Jazz as one of the most respectable organizations in a league that is often filled with corruption.
Nice work Jerry! | 10:44 p.m. Nov. 7, 2008
You rock Jerry! hopefully now we just get D-will back ASAP and then the jazz will be set!

Don't even get me going on CJ Miles! Harpring needs to start when he is healthy of course. Miles on the Bench where he belongs.. Or with the THUNDER
What the Heck | 11:44 p.m. Nov. 7, 2008
How does a twenty nine point lead disappear? The jazz need to take a look at the mirror and ask themselves whether they got what it takes. I'm a huge fan, but apparently, I'm more into them winning then they are. I watched the first half and a little of the third, and I'm tuned into every play; i swear I have more focus at home then they have on the freaking court, but it's not my job to watch them play, they get paid millions to go to work and they slouch against the thunder. I'm a student, I can't even imagine taking that kind of approach to school, or even to my little job that pays me chump change. Then I come home and see the score ended up being close, it's games like this that make me take the side of sloan and remain unimpressed. If malone and stockton lost a game, it wasn't because of lack of effort and lack of focus. it hurts to say it, but it's probably the truth, the jazz have enough talent to win it all, however, they probably don't have the desire.

Haven't seen Sloan hater around for quite a while. He obviously made quite an impression on folks, they still can't let him go.

Congrats to Jerry Sloan, one of the best coaches in the league and one of the top 10 coaches of all time.

Sloan Ball is good ball. Congrats on 1000. That's a real accomplishment. Good luck next week. Bring home some more. I was glad that the early "get focused" time out actually worked. Jazz played great ball in the 2nd and had their usual slump in the 3rd. The 4th just made me nervous. All in all though, a great effort without DW.
