I had no idea that the Democrats had so many staffers. Considering the bad economy, the October Surprise against Greg Hughes, the incessant negative campaigning against Hughes, Buttars, and Curtis, the Tribune and the News support of Democrats, and the number of Democratic staffers, I'm surprised they didn't do better than they did.

I think the Utah Democrats made huge strides in Utah this year. It's going to take a long time to convince Utahans that it's not a sin to vote Democratic. The sins of the fathers (voting republican) has been imprinted on the children and it will take some time to convince the grandchildren to change their vote.

Utah got less from its "50 state strategy" money than any other state. Most people would blame the Executive Director for that failure but Utah Democrats love to lose so they fired everyone else. After the 2010 census the Salt Lake County Democrats will lose a third of their seats in the legislature and Todd Taylor will be talking about how he loves working for the Fearsome Five Democrats in the Utah Senate. Howard Dean had a 50 state strategy. Todd Taylor couldn't put together a 2 county strategy.

Republicans would fire him.

@ instereo - the sin of abortion and attempted redefinition of marriage is being imprinted on the children of dems and it will take generations to cleanse.

@Anonymous

Hughes, Buttars, and Curtis were their own worst enemy.. The “incessant negative campaigning” (which was rampant on both sides) did little. I’d say a few Republican Constituents finally opened their eyes and realized what kind of politicians these three really are.

Todd Taylor did a great job and I want to thank him for his work. Although Utah Democrats didn't see as many wins as we would have liked, we did see a jump in the numbers across the board.

Good work Todd!
