Ann thank you so much for this wonderful tribute. It captures my dad perfectly. You and your parents have been such good friends to my family and me. How blessed we are to have you in our lives.

Thanks, Ann. I had been thinking a lot about how amazing it is that this man with so many connections and friends -- that included people like Robert Redford -- somehow was able to treat me, the little girl next door, as one of his good friends too.

What a great article. It reminded me of my favorite tv show, Leave It To Beaver. I am so happy to know "the good old days" really existed - maybe they will come back:)

Stan was the first adult I called by his first name (I was probably 3 or 4 at the time). Being on a first-name basis with him somehow made me feel important. What a great man - I'm sad he's gone.
