brewer looks really good out there. he's really carved out a niche and he keeps getting better. what he's done is show how to make a niche and expand your role. he's confident and he's playing really good, and you don't have to worry about it being a fluke. it's a good example for a blueprint of how to make the most of your opportunities. i've always liked brewer, i like seeing our products having consistent and greater successes, he's a special player. the jazz have a great team. it's good to see cj getting some minutes, korver is still mr. clutch, ak is mr. everything, but brewer is a real force, i can't say i'm not surprised to see him playing at such a high level, i am surprised at his professionalism and how he went about the business of making himself indispensable and invaluable.

Brewer and Korver should be starting and taking Miles minutes. It is not like they can't both play 30 minutes a game.

Williams - 40 minutes
AK, Boozer, Okur - 36 minutes
Brewer, Korver - 30 minutes
Millsap - 24 minutes
Price - 8 minutes

Giving Miles minutes instead of Korver and Brewer is stupid

Hopefully if things work out right we can still win and get some P/T for Koufus and Fess. It will be so important come playoff time that we have some bigs that can contribute. I agree with the above comments and would also like to state how well Brevin has fit into this team and he will be a big influence both as a player and a teamate this year. I probaly wouldn't play Williams any more than 36 minutes either unless needed, it is a long season and we need to finish strong and be ready for the playoffs. Go Jazz.

All this shows when a guard who can shoot and score, the other must respect him defensively,

IT opens things better for the inside players, the post players.

As nice as brewer is at some things ultimately he will always be a liablity to winning a championship.

NO TEAM, NO TEAM has ever won a championship with out guards who can shoot and score at a star level, NO TEAM.

Just do the simple mind exercise and think all championships team in last 40 years and who played for them.

And in fact most championships get most of their scoring from the guards, small forward, and a nice chunk from the outside, 15' foot and out.

Its as I have been saying since Brewer's rookie season, Brewer and Sloan's coaching philosophy is a good match. Brewer went into the draft very "coachable" and Sloan likes to bring rookies along slowly. Some complain, but I knew from talking to RB Sr. Ronnie would do well under Sloan and being given time to improve his skills, mature his game (and body), and bring his game up to an NBA level rather than being thrown to the wolves from the get go, was what this kid needed.
