I am not opposed to conservation efforts, or am I opposed to drilling and oil shale exploration. However both lead to the same dead end. There is only so much that can be accomplished by conservation without damage to the economy and our standard of living. Since petroleum is a finite resource, the supply will continue to diminish, also causing harm to our economy and standard of living

I actually support Rep Noel and even Rep Tilton for that matter, and I live in Rep. Tilton's district. He lost the primary over an unrelated issue. Our economic future is not in wind, or solar power, only nuclear power is capable of replacing much of our fossil fuel based economy.

We have used nuclear power on our Navy Ships and commercial plants for over 50 years. There have been zero reactor accidents during that time that have killed or injured anyone. This is not the case for coal fired electricity which has killed hundreds of miners during that time.

We need to at least double the amount of electricity produced by nuclear power in the next decade. France already produces over 80% of its electrical needs with nuclear power.
