Dear Sirs:

I am writing you today about Disabled Utahns protest of HUD.I myself as an Advocate and by experience, have seen the abuses by the Federal Government concerning HUD Housing. The system is not a fair one, and seems to be based on a favortism selection. People with disabilities when asked, say they have waited a year or more, and everytime they call the main Hud office, another exuse is used. Meanwhile, frinds, family of staff who walk right into the office, can find an available place at the time. These Individuals seem to be healthy single mothers or whatever, and are accomodated.Favortism is hard to prove, for the paper work is not readily available, and the public meetings are kept a secret at times as to where and when. On the whole, I have not felt the system has been honest. The Hud Secretary needs to have honest people in each office to make sure the honor system is used. By law so many units are alloted to people with disabilities.

Truly,
Deborah Exum
