i like how he blamed the right wing media.while it is definantly the left that is being vicious, i am just sick of seeing an almost entirely red map. with a hand full of north east blues, and yet obama is still leading. there is definantly two different countrys. the responsible red and the liberal blue

It is Palin that keeps parading her family before the news cameras. Having the young man who is being forced into a shot-gun wedding attend the convention was priceless. Maybe they can have the wedding on national TV before McCain's speech.

Appreciate her efforts | 10:46 a.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Palin's family is in a difficult and challenging situation with the teenage pregnancy and "shot-gun" wedding. To have to deal with these issues in front of the national media and millions of "arm-chair quarterbacks" who blog incessantly is not where I would want to be. I appreciate her efforts in supporting her daughter and son-in-law to be. Too many families' knee jerk reaction is to kick the offending teenagers to the curb when they make this mistake. Not a productive move in my opinion. What's done is done -- now is the time to make every effort to help these parents-to-be succeed.

Speaking of parading, seems like the Obama family was a full feature on National tv. In addition Obama delcared a policy by using an example of his family.
If the dems are so ready to take the family out of the fight, I'd love for them to single out and criticize the groups who are doing their work for them. They won't because secretly they love it.

Biden doesn't even know | 11:28 a.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Biden you are crazy. The sexist criticsms have been coming from the most left organizations in the nation. Just so everyone knows, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, are all motivated by left-wing views and it shows when you compare how they reported on the Democrats compared to the Rebublican conventions.
Utah? | 12:36 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
What happened to Utah, people? I can't help but imagine the clucking tongues and howls for more faith based abstinence education should this have been a democrat or some celebrity teen pregnancy. Poor parenting, bad role model, it would all appear here in these columns. Instead, we get feel good stuff, 'what's done is done, let's help the parents'?Nah. I agree with Biden, the campaign should stay away from it. But the press? It'll sell papers for them, and no one wanted the press to stay away from Britney Spears' sister.

"It is Palin that keeps parading her family before the news cameras."
And it was B. Hussein Obama and his wife that paraded their children before the news cameras as well. And everyone oohed and aahed over them. Nothing but castigation for the Palin kids. Give us a break you dirt-bag liberals. You have zero class.

biden and obama | 3:20 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Both obama and biden have gone on record, on tv, and said that the Bristol girl is off limits.
what part of that do the republicans not understand.
oh, it is the old attack the press, attack the press, the press is reporting again, story.
Obama and Biden have stepped up and said the family is off limits. what more can they say and do in a free country???????????

Press | 3:27 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
The press destroyed Hilary Clinton. Why isn't it okay for the same treatment with Palin?
Lewt | 3:29 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Use of terms like "hired attack dogs" and "dirt bag liberals" is classy, all right. Lower class. If Palin felt this was all too much, she should have declined McCain's invitation. Don't buy into the line that says Democrats control the media. If they had, there would have been no Iraq war.
pro life | 3:49 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
If sarah palin is pro life then she should stay home and raise her kids. Or hopefully her husband will .... If a nanny or family member is going to fulfill that role, then why kids? Her teenage daughter needs her now more than ever and so does baby Trig, not to mention the little one in between.
They're off limits (wink-nod) | 4:28 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Yes, Obama and Biden have told the cameras that the Palin kids are off limits (with a wink and a nod after the camera goes off).

Sorry, I corrected "republican"
You make great arguments for the fairness doctrine.

It is too bad that Politicians seemed to have this reputations that what they say has a hidden agenda attached to it. I do hope that Biden was sincere though.

President Clinton almost got impeached in part over having an affair, a somewhat personal family issue. The ability of a person to devote a lot of time to an elected office whether a father or mother still matters to me. Having a "special needs baby" along with a new "baby" of a teenager mother and running for high political office speaks loudly about values and priorities.
Clinton WAS impeached | 7:15 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
But not for having an affair, for lying under oath about it. He lied to cover a mistake and THAT is what the problem was.
Brother Chuck Schroeder | 7:38 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
Tonight's speech will remind the American people that John McCain has never put his party or his own political ambition before his Country. If elected President, rest assure that he never will. Writing a Letter to the Editor on behalf of John McCain is a great way to make an important contribution to our grassroots campaign. A consistent stream of Letters to the Edtior across this great Nation that are supportive of John McCain will demonstrate to your neighbors and undecided voters that momentum and enthusisam are building for our campaign. This is a small, but crucial effort that you can undertake for the campaign. It will only require an hour of your time each week to write a Letter to the Editor, but it will make a difference in your community. Governor Palin also spoke to the challenges confronting the American people and reminded voters that the only way we can help put American families back on the road to prosperity is by reforming the Washington status quo.

Clinton WAS impeached the vote for impeachment failed.

Yeah, Chuck. And you've been on the Big John bandwagon for how long now? Or have you just been on the "I Hate Hillary, I mean Obama Express"?
