Just out of curiosity,were there any al-qaida in the province before we invaded Iraq?

The key was the sunnis turning against al-quida. That was the key: the locals wanted their country back and did not want the outsiders, us included.

Keep moving on this: ignore McCain who said we could stay a 100 years. Embrace Obama-Biden who said we had to get out. We have a war to fight in Afghnistan, remember?
