38-14. Could have been 52-14 with 2 dropped TD passes. BTW PC's Epperson was a stud!

OMG...where did this person learn to write sports articles...not one mention of the score???? All we know is that the game was 7-7 early on.

Logan 35 Park City 14 | 8:18 a.m. Aug. 30, 2008
Logan 35, Park City 14
The Grizzlies played some great offense in the first half, with Jeff Manning passing up and down the field. In the second half, the defense was too much for Park City in Logan's second victory of the year. Manning finished with five touchdowns, including three through the air and two scoring runs.

TEAMS (REGION, OVERALL) FINAL
Park City (0-0, 1-1) 7 0 0 7 - 14
Logan (0-0, 2-0) 14 14 7 0 - 35

SCORING PLAYS
PARK CITY - Chynoweth 2 run (kick)
LOGAN - Gwynn 90 pass from Manning (Thompson kick)
LOGAN - Skabelund 20 pass from Manning (Thompson kick)
LOGAN - Manning 2 run (Thompson kick)
LOGAN - Thompson 28 pass from Manning (Thompson kick)
LOGAN - Manning 1 run (Thompson kick)
PARK CITY - Epperson 15 pass from Walker (Portwood kick

Hey DN! The score of the game was 38-14, not the 35-14 that you are reporting. Give the kicker credit for a nice 44 yd FG.

#2 for PC was a stud running the ball. Although Logan clamped down on him the second half, he can run the ball. And he is only a Jr. Big things to come from him in the future. I think Logan played well and PC did not play up to their potential. Alot of the PC players were playing with the flu. No excuses though, Logan kicked butt. PC will rebound.

Enjoy your final year of success in 3A. Logan will be lucky to win half their games in 4A. They are not good at all after this senior class leaves.

Likely some kid from a rival school that's clueless... from an independent high school football observer that just loves the game and watches several schools play each year at various levels, Logan has a pretty solid team coming up @ the JV level right now. Add that to the fact that Coach Favero has proven that he can gameplan w/ anybody and Logan will make some noise even at 4A.

Enjoy final year of success...? You obviously don't know Mike Favor and the success he has had at Logan High. Not to mention the Athletes they produce every year! Why don't you learn your stuff before you bring it to the table.

I watched your JV team, They are weak at best. Hopefully the Great Favero can produce more miracles.

you do realize that logan was in 4A and they won state in 2000 went to the semis in 2001, and in 2002 they had major injuries and lost to the eventual state champs bountiful that year by 7 pts. and in 2003 lost in the state championship game.. and in 2004 the last year in 4A they upset the number one team in 4A in the first round of the playoffs. then they made the move to 3a and the rest is history... So now whoes talkin?

WoW, you guys were good, I hope all those guys can come back next year and help out that weak JV team you have.
re good luck | 11:38 p.m. Aug. 30, 2008
JV team is mostly sophs. Also manning was playing with fever.. from pnemonia. No excuses.....
RE: Good Luck Correction | 9:35 a.m. Aug. 31, 2008
The frosh team is the team I watched, not the JV team. The frosh team is pretty solid and many will play as juniors.

How many students are enrolled at Logan?
to just wondering | 10:43 a.m. Sept. 3, 2008
somewhere between 1050 and 1100 but the population is trending downward closer to the 1000 range. We will be one of the smaller 4A schools next year but that is okay, for the last few years we haven been one of the bigger 3A schools, although not the biggest as most think we are. Can't help where the student population numbers put us they are what they are, we will just play where ever USHAA decides we need to be and try to stay competitive. Somebody has to be the smaller school no matter the classification, next year will be our turn.
Are you kidding me Logan | 2:01 p.m. Sept. 3, 2008
To Just Wondering: You must be wondering in a cloud somewhere. If you will look at the numbers in the UHSAA site you will note that next year there will be at least ten 4A schools with a smaller enrollment than Logan High. Logan will be far from the smallest. You, in fact, will finally be in the classification you belong. And please, name a 3A school that is larger than Logan High. There are actually 4A schools smaller than you, Highland for example.

To Are You Kidding...: Actually I'm well grounded. Sounds like my question not only struck a nerve but sent you to the clouds.

To Wondering:

What question?
Just Wondering | 3:30 p.m. Sept. 4, 2008
To A.Y.Kidding: # of students enrolled at Logan. I'm curious-you mention that I will finally be in the classification I belong--question-what school and classification are you refering to.
