Howard says he'll find the money? Why can't he find that money and put it in smaller class sizes? Unlike the tripling or quadrupling of testing that the blue ribbon panel proposes, smaller class sizes are proven to increase a student's ability to learn.

Please, parents, find out more about this boondoggle proposal and let your reps know what a joke it is. They don't listen to teachers. They probably will ignore the admins who have consistently been opposed to the proposal. Maybe, just maybe, the threat of being voted out of office will sway enough of them to do something positive for Utah's children.

Karen, Howard will find the money by making sure we don't put any toward teacher salaries or hiring more teachers to lower class sizes. The testing system does need to be revamped. The new plan may be even be a great answer but please, don't anybody believe that Howard S. is capable of "coming up with the money" without doing it on the backs of Utah's students and teachers.
