It actually makes complete sense if you read the entire article. Rents are up in some sectors and it has raised the average.

An entire article about rents raising but not one comment on the actual costs of rents. You can put all the percent increases or decreases you want based on some statistical report, but you couldn't find the space to put the actual dollar amounts in the article?

Absolutely waste of space in the paper without the amounts.

My rent went up 6.25% this year. I'm now paying $850 for a two-bedroom, 1 3/4-bath downtown Salt Lake City apartment.
