Amy - Do you read your own nonsense? Yesterday, YOU tried to put something in perspective for most of us - that quite frankly - didn't need your perspective.

Don't know how anyone can draw a parallel between a basketball controversy and an enjoying an excellent swimmer. Thanks for making all those who is the best Olympian of all time polls irrelevant. Good column.

I, too am getting tired of the elitist, I'm smarter than you attitude that Amy Donaldson's articles take. Granted, sharing a viewpoint is what journalists are paid to do, but plenty of them do it with far less lecturing than Amy Donaldson.
"Accept it"? "Fans should savor excellence"? Its as if she believes that no one will have the taste or intelligence to do so without her command. What, a synonymous headline like "If you disagree with me you are stupid?" couldn't get past the censors? I read the sports page for news and insightful commentary not to be indoctrinated. I won't be reading Amy again
