I agree that the technology for transporting, storing and processing uranium has changed tremendously and that comparisons to things that happened 50 years ago are alarmists. As is so evident these days, our country needs to development alternative energy sources.

After seeing dozens of uranium miners die, I am concerned about mine safety and can't see how miners can avoid contact with the uranium ore they are mining. Unless technology is available to address this issue, I feel it is inappropriate to ask others to die so we can have power for our homes. I'm certainly open to learning how this issue will be addressed.
