Thank you Salt Lake!!! You have an amazing city full of loving and caring people. We are so blessed to have been "stuck" here. We have met many amazing people from different faiths that have offered to help. We are excited to be going home, but you will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts. We will continue to brag about your beautiful city full of beautiful people.

They listed a website at the end of this article - it has a link for donations.

These are some of the best people you'll ever meet. This little family deserves to stay together... we put our two cents in and encourage you to donate whatever you can to help our new friends get back to Kansas with both of their little angels.
Good luck Goveas... we'll miss you so much!! But we are so happy for you!

Good Luck Goveas!! All my love and prayers for you, your family in Kansas and your two beautiful girls straight from heaven. May God continue to bless you and watch over your babies. SLC is a better place for knowing you.

We are so grateful for the support our family has received in Salt Lake City. It is a beautiful, clean city with so many loving and caring people. We will always fondly remember this as the birthplace, and the beginning of life's journey for our little "Miracle Marys". Thank you!

Whenever I read something like this story, I'm sorry that life took me away from Utah and Salt Lake. You may not understand how lucky you are to be there.
God Bless you all for what you do without unusual recognition.

When you claim there were miracles and blessings from God and answers to prayers, do any of you stop to think about those poor women who have lost babies at birth? I lost a baby that I carried to full term. She was well over six pounds, but got choked by the umbilical cord during labor and delivery. We were good, active LDS. We prayed, we fasted, we had priesthood blessings, but still our precious daughter died in birth. Why would God save one and let another die? What kind of a God is that?

Thank God for your witness to Life! As a 3 month premature triplet who survived (I weighed 1.5 pounds) along with my twin (2 pounds) and a deceased triplet sister (< 1 pound) in 1959, I know that your two Marys will be blessed!

Indeed Holy mary will protect these babies. What a joy to God to see how these babies survived, being so small ,it was all due to the parents faith and prayers and of course two lovely catholic parents. Cong. grats to you and babies. God bless and keep you in His care.

I am so sorry you are in such pain over the untimely loss of your precious little girl. I hope that with time your pain will lessen and you will find the peace and understanding you so richly deserve. Obviously I don't know you, but I truly am sad your baby died.

I am sorry that your daughter died at birth. As a mother myself I cannot imagine the pain and anguish you must have experienced at that time and still feel. Maybe God had a different plan for your daughter and she just needed to come to this earth long enough to get a body before she returned home to Him. I know it doesn't fill the hole in your heart but through your LDS faith you should know that you will be reunited with your daughter again. God doesn't favor one family, one person over another- he has a plan for us all- a plan that we chose before coming to this earth to fulfill. Please try not to harbor any ill will toward the Govea's or any other parent of a preemie or "miracle baby". We aren't trying to cause you any more pain.

Just to clarify for everyone, both of the twins are alive.

What twins are you talking about. We know Elizabeth and Ellen, the subjects of the story, are alive.

My two twin grandsons just left for home a few hours ago (San Francisco) from Michigan after a full week of visiting family, they had the blood transfer problem at birth, were born blue, not expected to live, a miracle happened when a dr walked into the delivery room - who just happened to be in the hospital - to give a paper on the subject later in the week - he removed the two babies, not breathing and in his care, they lived. they will be 17 this fall. Brilliant, handsome boys, A+ students. We are so grateful to God and believe in prayer! We believe in miracles!

Utah, thank you so much for taking care of our friends! From the nurses that loaned cars, gave support, to the WONDERFUL Ronald McDonald House. You were great to them. Who can forget Southwest airlines and the Residence Inn Salt Lake City Cottonwood. both were great to their kids and took special care of going out of their way to mkae every trip special. I will never fly or stay with anyone else if I have a choice. I hope to visit Salt Lake some day and see what you city is all about.

Wish we could have been there in Salt Lake to see the beautiful city and people! We are overwhelmed with all the love that everyone has given to this amazing family. Thank you to everyone for caring and loving the Govea's. Their family has grown stronger together and also in faith. They have shown us all how to believe in miracles and to trust in God. Anyone who meets the Govea family will instantly fall in love! I am sure that they are going to be missed, yet remembered forever as "The Miracle Mary's." We love you Govea's!

We are so sad to see you leave St. Mark's, but know that it is a much needed thing for you and your family! We will miss you. You have been such an inspiration for us in our own challenges with our baby. Thank you so much for everything. Good luck, and thanks for the great support and love!

Thank you again St. Mark's and Utah from the Kansas/Missouri friends and family of the Govea family. From a quick trip that extended over 4 months you took in our loved ones who were strangers to you and made them part of your community and families. May God continue to bless all of you for your truly Christian attitudes and actions that fulfill His desires for all of us here on earth. These Miracle Marys have provided so many people with faith and inspiration time and time again and for that, we are all blessed!
