South Summit semi final game - Mortensen broke into the back field and had 3 SSum jerseys close on him. He put it into a different gear and blew right through all 3 of them who hardly even touched him to race away for a long touchdown. He is a powerful runner with break away speed. With a big line he will have a monster year should he stay healthy. Will that translate into a state championship? Who knows.

If Millard can stay healthy they should be in the hunt again. However, I think the size of schools they are playing in the first four games may translate to injuries. I am sure Marshall sherriff knows what he is doing, but I would select a smaller playing field in the years to come. Millard doesn't have enough debt to survive too many injuries. I notice that North Summit is playing cup cake teams, and will probably be back in the hunt again this year. Millards mindset has got to be very competitive, or they will not make it this year in spite of their size.

too bad s summitt isn't millard i believe we own 13 state crowns.. its called tradition. it will happen for them this year. so dont ask s summit cause they dont know at all.. eagle pride! good luck eagles!

Millard WILL NOT win state this year Manti N. Summit and Juab are all better teams than Millard, and if Millard comes into big games with the mindset of "Don't you know who we are? We're Millard" then they will get smacked around. It's a new season and people don't care what you have done in the past.

Millard WILL win state. Bring in those boys from Manti, N. Summit, and Juab. Millard has been a tough draw for years because they play the better teams from schools that are much bigger than they are. To be the best you have to be able to beat the best and Millard has shown that it can hang with anybody year in and year out. Plus, there aren't too many schools that train as hard as those Millard boys do. Let the smackin on the field commence!!!
dks Re: haha | 3:36 p.m. Aug. 17, 2008
allright so yes, the attitude of the fans is that of, were Millard all we gotta do is show up. but the teams attitude is far different. They know that manti, juab, and N. summit are all serious competition. Do you think we could just forget our whopping from N summit in the state ship? no. of course not. and sheriff doesnt let them forget either. We are humble and hungry and i know we can easily play for state. We dont beat you north boys just because were Millard. We beat you because we work harder and longer, because weve got better tradition, because were mentally stronger, and yes, because we definately are MILLARD
NOrth boys... | 9:26 p.m. Aug. 17, 2008
haha you beat all those north boys except north summit! lol

what | 7:16 p.m. Aug. 18, 2008
wasp fan, last year your team was the most talented team in 2a and fell flat on their face. guess who knocked them out of the playoffs.....millard. you've beaten us once in the last four years. you say your team is better this year, well it was better last year and that didn't mean a thing. as for north summit, enjoy bein the champs while you can cause you ARE getting dethroned this year.

i just decided its pretty sad that juab and manti cant take state with the amount of kids they have in their schools. they are 3A. you juab fans will never change. keep hanging your region and 2 place banners in your gym. cause you'll never take state. n summit and millard are probably the smallest of everyone and they just kill people. sad story for juab!
Re:bob | 8:33 p.m. Aug. 19, 2008
True that..
juab | 1:26 p.m. Aug. 21, 2008
hey bob.what was you in a cave all last season.juab took north summit in to overtime . and barly lost millard .ya they beat us . so killing people. is a little. over the top.we will see this year.
re: juab | 11:43 p.m. Aug. 21, 2008
haha oh wow. I will give you some credit for holding N. Summit up but still, a wins a win. especially when its from a school half your size. And Millard was pretty well in control of that game from the start and final score was 21-12 so id say if its more than a touchdown, its more than barely losing. You are way over hyped this year. You do have cody keisel and he should be allright, but id say hes not so much talented as he is big. other than that, im not seeing alot you can be hyped up about. Your like the 2A bully cause your twice the size, but your the one getting picked on...
juab | 8:14 a.m. Aug. 22, 2008
wow you are hung up on the size of schools. its like that in every classification. theres no question. millards good and always have been. millard and north summit are about the same size of schools. so what happend there.in the championship game.did millard even score.looks like millard is the one that got picked on.
juab | 11:13 p.m. Aug. 22, 2008
oooooo.i bet that stung bob 39 to 6 wow millard must of thought they were playing for the championship game again . ask morgan how tough juab is . cause morgan they would kill hurricane.so go back in your cave or what ever they have where you live and i will talk to you next season. cause you dont want to see or here about your next two games. sorry charley
dks | 1:40 a.m. Aug. 23, 2008
ha wow morgan beat hurricane? yeah i doubt it. just keep underestimating millard so we can beat you agian. If you even make the playoffs....
