We are really excited to see the new flyers football team. These kids are stand up kids on and off the field. Mike Sharp has looked really well in practice. He has a strong arm and is very athletic. As a fan of high school football, I wish coach Monkers and his staff the best. This Region is a great region loaded with lots of talent at each school. Its good to see the ball will be spread around this year. It will be interesting to see some of these receivers with the ball. GO FLYERS!!

glad to see dixie finally got a better offense they were never able to keep up with Pv offense now they might have a shot to end that 11 year drought

Does Dixie have any depth? Dixie has always been known for not developing 2nd and 3rd team members into contributors. They generally use 8 players that go both ways and then fall apart in the 4th quarter when other teams wear them down. Maybe Dixie can come back in a game if they get behind. Did they keep some of the old coaches? I hope that the assistants will buy into Monkres plan. Good luck Flyers.

Region 9 (4a division) plays a very competitive brand of football. Once again, you're going to see three very good teams and only two make the playoffs, while the lowly third and fourth teams of the regions up north go. Thanks UHSAA for a horrible system!

We at DHS, home of the Flyers, are thankful that the old coaching staff from Dixie went to Desert Hills! We hope the new staff will bring in a new brand of Dixie football... the old coaches never produced anything other than 2nd place behind the PV Panthers! Good luch Desert Hills... maybe your "Thunder" clouds will produce some stormy skies, in the coming years, but the FLYERS of D-H-S (notice the one "H") will soar above them!

Starting new is always difficult. I think DHHS is doing pretty good. They may really pull it together and be very good competition as they get more experience behind them. It will provide some good competitive games for our area.
