The problem with the BMI is it doesn't take into consideration bone mass and other physical factors. People can weigh heavy for reasons other than fat. I do agree with waist size as an indicator of problems because the waist area is where we store most of our fat. I used to be chubby until I had my cardiac event (aka heart attack) when I was in my mid forties. It was a definite wake-up call and I don't want to have another one of those ever again.
