Unfortunate to see that things did not work out with Matias. He is a player that has a lot of raw talent, but if you are not satisfied with your situation then it's best to move on.
I hope once the international transfer window opens up that RSL can do something to fell some voids. I would like to see another forward at least. Does D-News have any insider info on possible moves?
I'm excited to see the second half of the season and hopefully a few of our players make the All-star team.

He is just a few years ahead of the whole team...

Break out the red-headed wonderkid for Thursday now that Cordoba is gone. I hate to say it but I dont think he was given a fair shot.
THis is why | 9:48 a.m. July 2, 2008
response to why: I would imagine there is players all over the country who would WANT to play for RSL. It doesn't mean RSL will put them all on the roster. WANT is just one of the requirements to be on the team.

He has been given a shot, and he played decently. He's not being cut, remember, he's quitting. If I were him, I would be a little upset that Cutler has been getting put in games in stead of him. If he really wanted it, you would think he would stick around and fight for a spot. Oh well, good luck Cordoba. Get healthy Sturgis!

...not too mad to see him go.

Thank the heavens this boy is getting healthy!!! We are getting really thin through the middle, and with him back, we can get that boost we need. Just imagine (once sturgis is fully back) our starting mid could be LM Beckerman, CDM Sturgis, RM either Williams or Dema, and CAM (the MVP of this team so far) Javier.
What Real needs to do with those 3 vacant spots is find a big name attacker like McBride (unlikely i know) or that boy from Boca (also unlikely) or heck, lets go to brazil or argentina and bring up 3 attackers and see how they pan out. Espindola (when not injured) and Javier have been the best players on the pitch for us, lets try it again

Cordoba a bust | 10:04 a.m. July 3, 2008
Cordoba played hard and was given a chance. Anyone could see he was just not having an impact. He looked slow. He also had very limited vision. He never passed to anyone except the easy short ball. He had a big salary and was not helping. We are lucky he opted out. Now we can use that money to experiment on another international player that may have a bigger impact.

So, according to his logic....Jeff Cunningham, Mehdi Ballouchy, and Carey Talley all didn't want to be here.
I guess I doubt Kries's sincerity in his comment.
