I've bought and sold on eBay nearly 1000 times over the last four or five years, and my experience has been that eBay really does try to police sellers who are offering counterfeits. I know when I inadvertantly listed a designer scarf which was labelled and truly appeared genuine to me, they reacted very quickly. It wasn't listed more than half a day before they informed me that the listing was pulled and why.

I don't suppose you can prevent crooks from being crooks, but I really think eBay IS trying and I think this suit is an attempt by the big designer labels to keep their prices artificially high.
I hope eBay appeals and wins.
