Brings back the memory of my dad. His favorite supper was bread and milk with sugar sprinkled on it!

My dad's specialties were tomato soup with cheese sandwiches and pancakes. He could make other stuff, too, but I think he had the monopoly on his specialties. It's a great family memory of the time he opened the broiler and the cheese sandwiches were flaming! He would do pancakes in our requested shapes which sometimes took the same imagination as cloud-watching to "see."

Not too encouraging for male food preparation. We would probably rather starve than figure out how to do anything but warm up a can of soup or melt some cheese.

Fortunately for me, and my children,my husband enjoys cooking (and does it well) and my son has followed his example!

My dad cooked for our family after our mother died. There were seven kids, and his task was great. To this day, the meals he made are my "comfort foods." He's gone now, but I do miss the macaroni with tomato soup, hamburger and cheese. He made a delicious potato salad too.

Oh, his food was always good, but the flaming cheese sandwiches were a memorable event.

Have you ever watched the hometeam? Good show. But, kim is not the host. She does only one show a week, thank goodness. She is good but could never carry such a hectic show on hert own. This is an absolute misrepresentation. There are some day "experts?" and 2 people (danny and vanessa) who do the show everyday. Just making sure you know that.
