Salt Lake City better wake up and smell the roses. How do they think this project is going to attract anyone? For the last 30 years they have been saying this with every new project and every one has failed. Downtown Salt lake needs to do a reality check and adjust their budgets and spending using the old accounts received for their budgets. Spending proposed funds has gotten the rest of the country into financial trouble and SLC is setting itself up for the same demise. Downtown is not a destination for Utahn's, its there for tourist only. The people have been locked out of access to downtown with their cars with all the street and parking closures so we could care less about going there. The only thing to suggest is tighten your belts and live off of what you get, not economist wild guesses. Downtown is for Corporations and legal offices and their employees, forget the suburbanites going there to shop and marvel at the waste in downtown. SLC wanted to be a business friendly city, well you got the business and lost the residents and shoppers. PS-don't rely on UTA or TRAX to bring in shoppers.

You know what would be a perfect solution to their budget woes. They need to hire a Bike and Trails coordinator. That would solve everything...
