HSM was filmed at East High, not Murray High. Someone has HSM and American Idol mixed up.

HSM was shot at both East and Murray. Much of the outdoor and hall scenes were shot at East High but the stage/auditorium scenes were filmed at Murray.

Why is that a big deal! A million movies are shot in LA and Vegas.

Go figure that our schools are good enough to bring movie producers to Utah, but we still have the lowest paid teachers in the nation.

I think it saddens me, how some could careless about the perfoming arts commuinty, yes its High School Musical but still its something more than any other state has, and I'm glad they decided to to film the show here. I hope they film HSM4 here as well, and maybe one day Utah could become Hollywood's twin or something as far as filming goes anyways.
