Warren Jeff's is GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY! He's a inbreed worm who lies around through his teeth. These FLDS stories nauseate me.

As usual, according to the FLDS, every single person who has ever escaped the FLDS is a liar. Nothing they say about what goes on behind closed doors in the FLDS community is true.
Their standard method for dealing with people whom they can no longer control is a smear campaign.

The attorneys have found a gold mine with the FLDS.
When they are done, if ever, the FLDS will have little left to help the thousands of followers impacted by this sad story.

Same Sex Marriage Good, Polygamy Bad! Go figure.
What? | 12:54 p.m. May 16, 2008
Karl Malone got a 12 year old pregnant? Not sure what that has to do with the FLDS but interesting never-the-less. By the way, it's Carolyn Jessop, not Caroline.

You basically have a handful of women that have left the church over a couple of dozen years and most of them have no profited on the venture of leaving. They have created a METAPHOR of themselves seeking to replace Church Leaders with themselves as spokespersons for those remaining. Flora Jessops moved to San Angelo in 2005 and now Texas looks at the FLDS as somekind of criminal cult which does not seem like the case here Back East from my unbiased perch. If these folks were tried in Pennsylvania instead of Utah, Arizona or Texas, they would have already walked free. Wearing dresses you make yourself, and leaders sactioning marriages is not a crime.

Before this whole FLDS situation came to light, I just read the papers, listened to the media and figured Warren Jeffs was a guilty power-hungry jerk. Having had a few days lately to look at both sides of the story and research things a little deeper, I am of the opinion that he was railroaded. I'm ashamed of myself for prejudging this guy. I would urge anyone that has not objectively looked at both sides to do so. It is disturbing what has happened to him.
No, I'm not FLDS.
No, I'm not FLDS.

Elissa Wall's book is quickly climbing the charts. It's no longer ranked number 52, it's now number 31.
What is interesting about this story is that when 14 year-old Elissa raised her objections such as she is only 14, she is not ready yet, certainly you must have me confused with one of my older (half) sisters, Warren Jeffs didn't budge an inch and forced her to get married to her cousin.
Now Warren Jeffs and his lawyer expect the court to respond to all of their whiny-butt concerns. I hardly think America has too much sympathy for their tactics.
Utah has spoken, Arizona is speaking and Texas will be speaking next. And I hardly think a state as strong as Texas is going to go for a measly five-year sentence. I, for one, will be shocked if Texas doesn't go for life.

Back East: The FLDS of the west are not like the Amish of Pennsylvania - those of us who live here know that. They may both wear unusual clothing and have other non-traditional customs, but these are their only similarities. The FLDS leader is a convicted sex offender and he has amazing power over these people. The people in the west have had to supplemented their way of life for decades. Towns nearby have created "Lost Boys" homeless shelters to house the teen-age boys who are kicked out or run away from the FLDS leaders. We see the lives these people lead - and it isn't pretty.
Please don't insult the good Amish people of Pennsylvania by associating them with the FLDS just because they both wear non-traditional clothes.

Gal50: You say Texas will "go for life". Life for whom, for what offense? As far as I know, no one has brought criminal charges against any FLDS member in Texas.
Liars? | 2:16 p.m. May 16, 2008
There is lying coming from BOTH sides of this. Or should I say, from all THREE sides... yes, I'm (oh my! shock!) saying I think Texas authorities lied too. They haven't been able to actually prove things they claimed as fact, some has come to light as incorrect, and have left out information, which is lying as well. There is no doubt Jeffs isn't a prophet, and admitted so. And yes, those statements by the now adult, can't possibly be true, it makes no sense. It sounds like she beefed up her story to get more sympathy... there's a lot of people out there that do that everyday. I'm still not sure Jeffs himself was railroaded, but their community as a whole definitely was. Shame on Texas and everyone here ranting hatred.

RE: GAL50;I sense a great amount of bitterness and hatred within your posts. Whatever Warren Jeffs has been accused or convicted of is one thing, but why do
you have such a vendetta against women and children that have done you no harm. If some of the men at the YFZ Ranch have violated the law, then let that be
addressed, and those individuals accountable, make their restitution to the law. But must you express
such hatred?

To Bruce: You are absolutely correct. Warren got a raw deal. I propose that Warren Jeffs be released and allowed to return to his flock and continue outlawing the color red (I guess that goes for the American flag too, huh?); keep killing all the dogs in Colorado City; prevent children from attending school; force underage girls into marriages with much older men for their sexual pleasure; tell his congregation that church attendance is not mandatory as along as they keep the tithing coming directly to him; teach the women in Colorado City how to "bleed the beast"; separate families by telling a father that his family is no longer his and that he must repent from afar; and be allowed to expand his empire.
Do you honestly think that the FBI just randomly placed him on their Top 10 list????
While we are at it, why don't we put his name on the ballot for president too?

Smells pretty stinky! And when you thought the smell couldn't get worse. Lo and behold! PU-WEE! cough, cough cough! I say, to protect the environment keep Jeffs locked up.
FBI list | 3:35 p.m. May 16, 2008
"Do you honestly think that the FBI just randomly placed him on their Top 10 list????" Well, they have had him behind bars for quite some time yet where is a federal charge? Oh wait, there isn't any, but the feds did manage control over the money. So it that was this is about...the money trail. Well that certainly explains why TX claimed they were rescuing innocent little victims of child rape but are now looking through accounting books. Sorry, but as a died in the wool agnostic, I smell a rat.

J-man...just want to say..I enjoy reading your posts....right to the point... Wonder if the FLDS members know we might have a Black president this Nov. Thanks to Warren Jeffs off the wall teaching "DAMNED TO HEAVEN-BLACK RACE"...they are probably scared to death. Wonder who is driving Jeffs fancy RED Caddy around..hmmmm or maybe its setting outside the prison waiting for him, so when he gets his conviction over-turned, he can ride off into the sun-set....NOT !! aint gonna happen !
To Bruce | 4:26 p.m. May 16, 2008
Did your research, Bruce, include the testimonies of Lost Boys that were molested by Jeffs?
Bob | 4:34 p.m. May 16, 2008
Jumping out the window to escape Warren Jeffs---hmmm? Kinda reminds me of the anti Mormon tract where a young girl jumps out a window of the SL temple into the Great Salt Lake and swims away. You'd think after a 100 years the John Hagees of the world could up with something new.

Go to the FLDS wed sire TruthWillPrevail, to find the letters written by Maggie Jessop and Samuel Roundy in their entirety. The SL Tribune and Deseret didn't dare publish them in full. I'm on the side of the lawyers representing Warren Jeffs, I'm one of those followers impacted by this sad story.

Hey TO Bruce | 4:59 p.m. May 16, 2008
Allegedly molested by Jeffs. That's the problem, most of your people do not understand the law and how it is supposed to be applied....innocent until proven guilty. He has not yet been proven guilty of molestation only of accomplice to rape while the alleged rapist has not yet even gone to trial.
the book | 5:31 p.m. May 16, 2008
isnt there a book or something explaining a bunch of this, "Stolen Ignorance" or something like that?

I am also impacted by the sad stories coming from ex-FLDS members. Sad, that it took such along time for these people to be saved from the likes of Warren Jeffs and others like him.
I read both stories wrote by Samuel Roundy and Maggie Jessop.
It is true, there is whore-mongers, killers,
thieves, rapists...etc as stated by Samuel Roundy on the outside of the compound. Only thing is Sam old boy, neglected to point out...the same thing is going on inside the FLDS compound, but I guess he thinks thats ok since the Almighty Prophet Jeffs and the Prophets before Jeffs, preaches...its all in the name of religion.
As far as Maggie's story goes ..rolling my eyes...I'd of been more prone to believe it,,,if it was wrote by the college educated Kathleen Jessop !

Gays will marry. Two people who love each other. They tend to be upscale professionals who adopt children and care for them. There have been no allegations of impropriety that I can recall. FLDS men will marry underaged girls and have numerous children they can't support. Charges of rape and abandonment galore. Go figure.

FOR ANONYMOUS 4:46 May16,
The Deseret News, had no reason to publish those letters entirely. They gave us the site to go into, that was enough. Seeing that you know this site so well "TruthWillPrevail"...I would like for you to ask them...why they didnt put a message board on their site.....I guess they didnt want to hear from people that dont or wont agree with them !,,,,EH?
