What on earth happened to Grantsville? #2 goes out on the first day at the tourney? Any insight?

Rankings don't mean a thing when you reach the playoffs. Any team can win. It just goes to show you that Cedar and North Sanpete were ready to play, and that they are better coached then Grantsville. With a record of 20 wins Grantsville really had a shot to go all the way, but they were not up to the challenge. The samething happened to them last year. They were two and a Q.

Grantsville's coach is the best in the state. She is the smartest coach who knows her softball. Don't say that they lose and it is the coaches fault.I would like to see any of the other 3A teams go beat Tooele! Grantsville softball team will be ready next year as they graduate no seniors!!

I agree with above. I would not trade our coach for anyone! The program was a MESS 2 years ago and she has turned it around in less than 2 years. First of all CO get your facts right. Grantsville beat a really good Union team first round this year 8-0...so no 2 and out this year?? (by the way Union went on to place 4th this year). Oh yeah...Cedar beat Grantsville 4-3 (Cedar took 2nd), closest game they played. We are young and did not hit the ball last weekend like we had all season. It happens! But a dumb comment like out-coached is absurd! Were we out-coached when we beat Snow Canyon and TOOELE?? Think not. By the way good luck Tooele, bring home another title!! Great season Cowboys!!

Grantsville softball team is improving every season. I would like to know who the Re: GHS parent is from! You are smack talking when you don't even know what Grantsville has done all season!

The best part about this is that I can say that my girls are not the ones on here trying to stir up trouble. They know that the rude people on here on people who don't matter. The game is over, the tournament is over the season is over and the school year is all but over.... How about you... Non mattering person, GET OVER IT!

Good Job Grantsville, You did a great job this year, you played everyday hard just like we asked! Not always does it turn out the way you would like, but that is one of lifes lessons! Life doesn't always turn out like you would want either!

Love ya All!

Grantsville is a very good team and a great bunch of kids. They will bounce back next year. Do not rate them on the tournament. It was a disappointing end to a geat year. They are a class act and their fans are great. Coach Heath has done a wonderful job with a very young team. Not one senior so they will all be back next year. Great year girls. Do not listen to these people.

EMery has not been to the state playoffs for 4 years. This has been an awesome year for the players. Their defense has been phenominal and they have also had a great hitting season 10 running some teams during the region play season. The finished 2nd in Region and all five seniors have made all state or all region. They have had a new coaching staff this year and things turned around for the Spartans especially batting. Leaving behind some acceptinal infield players they expect to keep on keeping on. The energy and enthusiasm of this team this year took them to 1st round state playoffs winning Judge Memorial 8-3 and they played two games on Thursday night winning one and keeping them in the tournament. They took a loss from union on Friday. Emery finished 7th in State and they put up a fight doing it. Beau Stoker and his coaching staff gave these girls a reason to play ball and excell to a higher level. Emery shined this year and made it to state and played 4 games great job ladies keep on playin ball you were amazing this year!!!!!!
