Democrat bigwigs want it over as soon as possible. Obama is sinking by the day in the estimation of real voters. I'm afraid all the superdelegates and insiders in the Democratic Party won't be able to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
Thanks just the same | 5:32 a.m. May 16, 2008
Thanks just the same Obama--but come election day, I will still be remembering your derisive "clinging to religion" crack.(not to mention all your other "true views") I for one will be stubbornly clinging to religion and not clinging with all this worshipful, eyes-half-shut, do or die loyalty to you.

Finally figured out why Hillary was spending so much time and Bill in SD. He has been stumping the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. She has hit the state this past week, etc.

She wants to pull an upset in the little prairie state, pop. 800,000, so that she can influence the seating of michigan and florida and then declare that she has momentum: hoping for some miracle.

It all makes sense now. Unfortunately, it is over. And SD will hold rallies today for Obama and they will be a sign that he will carry the state. He even has Daschle and McGovern showing up in Sioux Falls tonight.

The fat lady is singing and it is about over.

"real voters"? As opposed to fake voters?

Obama leads McCain in the latest polls. Obama sets new records for turn out. Obama laughs. He plays basketball. He even is athletic enough to bowl and fail and laugh about. McCain is yesterday's news. In fact, he now is flipping and flopping so much that it is getting hard for Obama to figure out what to say about whatever McCain said that day.

Bush is trying to be the bad cop now, beating up on Obama. Good grief. This obvious round house punch in Israel lets Obama counter punch and score points with the judges, the people.

Some people have taken Obama too lightly. He is razor sharp, smart, hired the best minds, and put together a compaign that knocked Hillary out, Hillary the darling of the demos. He has successfully defeated her.

It could easily be a rout in November. We are now watching republicans distance themselves from Bush and talk about anything... anything but Bush.

In SD today Obama will bring them to their prairie feet with talk about being strong and being bold enough to talk with our enemies. Reagan did it after all. Reagan. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

The Shadow Knows.

thanksjustthesame needs to get more informed and open their mind. You choose to hear what you want and ignore the rest how convenient -- GWB has lied and done more damage to this country and taken away more freedoms than your realize and you will believe him or Billary.
Real Voters | 10:38 a.m. May 16, 2008
as opposed to pundits, superdelegates and party insiders. Clueless elitist out-of-touch Democrats (like Obama Kerry Gore etc) only talk to people like themselves, never meet any "real Americans", never shop at Walmart, and are always shocked when they lose in November (because everyone THEY know agrees with THEM)
The insiders are rushing to Obama.
"Real Voters" in West Virginia let Hillary mop up the floor with "26%-and-dropping Obama".
Taste of the future, there.

A lady told me yesterday that she liked Obama because he reminded her of the hope and inspiration that John F. Kennedy had.

I couldn't disagree with her. John McCain only knows to preach the gospel of war, to talk about how things are negative and must be straightened out. Obama talks of a tomorrow that has all the people pulling together. Obama will win by a landslide.
Kennedy | 11:29 a.m. May 16, 2008
is actually a good comparison.
Both are more sizzle and style than substance.
Kennedy wasn't in office long enough to do a lot of damage himself, left that to LBJ, and we can all remember Camelot but not the blunders.
Good Grief | 11:34 a.m. May 16, 2008
Bush took a swipe at Carter and Obama squealed.
Not very reassuring, but apropo.

Obama doen not appeal to me; he is elitist, he whines too much, he has suspicious friends, he is full of hot air. He does not represent the working class democratic party I grew up with, I cannot vote for him and I cannot support a party that chooses him.

Yeah, just the other day I went in to Wal-Mart to check out some stuff, and there was Rush, Hannity and O'Reilly all checking out the latest cordless drills. Theys all real down-home folks, they is.

I ain't gonna vote for that there Obama guy. He don't watch Nascar or shop at Walmart. I know cause my brother in law told me. So I couldn't vote for that there person. Besides, he uses all them big words. I saw a video of him on Fox News once and he used them there big words which I can't understand and it makes my brain hurt just to listen. So I can't vote for that there guy. I want another president like George Bush. Who cares if he ain't real smart, or can't run this here country too good. He's a guy you could go have a beer with, and that's the most important thing to this here voter.
Re:Real Voters | 1:41 p.m. May 16, 2008
So what you're saying is that your main criteria for someone being president is that they shop at Walmart.

How many voters vote for the candidate who reminds them of a rock star, despite who they are or what they stand for? Ignoring their qualifications, experience, value system, and their patrotism. Actions and words do not imply that the Obama's are true, blue Americans. Their words actually say the opposite. Once he is in the White House it's too late - after the fact. This is a serious election - not a popularity contest. Please educate your selves to who is best to make this nation a better nation. We are hanging by a thread, and if Obama wins, GWB's mistakes may look like childs play compared to what we will get from a rookie senate politition, who frightens me in this age where other nations are seeking necular enegry. Can Obama keep this country safe? Why do some of the terriost nations want Obama to win? Think about that when you vote in November.
sorry boys | 2:59 p.m. May 16, 2008
There aren't enough smart ass liberals to elect a president.

The Nascar/Walmart crowd will elect the next President.

Ask Dukasis
Ask Gore (HA! couldn't even carry Tennessee!)
Ask Kerry (windsurfing, anyone?)

The only Democrats elected for over 50 years (Carter, Clinton, LBJ) were Southern twanged boys who knew there way around a Nascar track (or at least a Nascar crowd)

Why don't you boys pour yourselves a glass of white wine (or is whine the Democratic beverage of choice these days?) and brag to each other about how great Obama's resume is some more.

Why is Obama getting more support now? It's simple. Obama's core supporters - radical liberals - crossed party lines in every state that had open primaries - thus voting for Mitt Romney and John McCain and taking a GOP victory away from Mike Huckabee. Now they're coming home to the DNC.

Well, you reap what you sew. Good luck America. I'm voting for Bob Barr.

With Obama we started out, we couldn't talk about his big ears 'cause that made him nervous. We've gone from that to this: Not only can we not mention his ears...

We can't talk about his mother.

We can't talk about his father.

We can't talk about his grandmother unless he does, brings her up as a "typical white person."

We can't talk about his wife, can't talk about his preacher, can't talk about his terrorist friends, can't talk about his voting record, can't talk about his religion.

We can't talk about appeasement.

We can't talk about color; we can't talk about lack of color.

We can't talk about race. We can't talk about bombers and mobsters who are his friends. We can't talk about schooling. We can't talk about his name, "Hussein."

We can't talk about his lack of experience. Can't talk about his income. Can't talk about his flag pin.

This started out we can't call him a liberal.

It started out we just couldn't talk about his ears.

Now we can't say anything about him.
