Oh, C'mon, Orson. In praise of what's inside the diapers? What is that supposed to mean? In praise of human fecal matter? In praise of human excrement? In praise of urine? Your point could have been made just as well without such a crass title.

I understand that you're trying to savor the fleeting moments of a young child's life, but I'll give you a little hint: even great parents don't like changing diapers. We're willing to do it because we love our children, but don't expect us to take a moment to savor the bouquet before diving in. Excrement doesn't need to be sentimentalized in order to make your point. Parenting is hard work for mothers and fathers, and there's nothing wrong with admitting that. Little kids are great, but there are advantages to older ones who can take care of themselves and start engaging you on a more adult level, too.
