Colts, That has to be a tough pill to swallow for the Murray fans. To be beat by some of your ex players. I was at the game and I have to say the Murray fans are a bunch of grumpy complainers. There were a lot of years that Cottonwood was the door mat in all most all sports. Its nice to have at least one program at the school thats winning! Mr Cate has done a great job of building the facility and the team. Go get um at state!

Last year Coach Shewmake told pitcher Derek Wollschelger to hit Eric Doi every time he got up to bat. It seems like he is still up to his old tricks even though he has been promoted to Head Coach. Hitting Eric twice yesterday seems like a bad plan of attack. I guess you can’t get over this young man choosing to attend a different high school, which seems to be a trend at Murray. They have lost many kids to Skyline, Alta, Judge, Taylorsville, Highland, Jordan and Cottonwood to name a few. Every time these young men make the paper for some accomplishment the Murray administration should wonder why they are not at their home school. Perhaps Coach Shewmak’s antics are an example of some of the reasons.

Murray's Coach | 7:34 a.m. May 10, 2008
I've attended a couple of Murray's games this year and have been nothing but impressed with thier new coach. So what, he throws at a kid as you describe, you can't deny he has done a great job. Cottonwood get over yourself. Your accomplishments mean nothing to others because you don't win with your own kids. How hard is that to do?
colts, who? | 10:03 p.m. May 11, 2008
What good is school pride when a good part of your athletic student body comes from areas other than your own? It's like pulling together an allstar team and playing in a recreational league. . .where does pride fit in? If everyone had to play in the boundries they live, then, and only then would high school pride even be credible. . . .congrat's to those of you who stick with your home school, even though so many of your fellow athletes jump ship just to 'belong' to a winning team. . . . .don't hurt your arms patting yourselves on your back. . . .

poulson, murray
thomas,taylorsville
rodgers, jordan
gust, riverton
beverly, hillcrest
wadsworth, used to be in the boundrys
doi, murray
robbs, brighton
sullivan, c-wood
None of them were gonna play where they were thats why they are at C-Wood,
The rule should be play where you live, PERIOD!
They transfer and its like the coaches think they are more deserving of playing time. You wonder how many balls a guy can kick before he gets a seat?
