Reader comments: Forgetting Sarah Marshall

I wasn't impressed. Judd and his crew are not as funny as Jeff and other's think. They are foul, crude and uncreative. This movie had only one thing going for it, Mila Kunis and unfortunately the script was just horrible. I am not easily offended, but this film was flat out stupid.

I'm blaming myself this time because I keep telling myself that if Jeff Vice likes a movie it's bound to be a loser. I should know better. He's consistent at least. When something is highly rated by Jeff it fails to entertain. 3.5 stars? Are ya kidding me? If this is the best that film has to offer then we're going to have to go somewhere else for entertainment. The material is highly predictable, the rock opera scene Jeff calls a hoot is so boring and so unbelievable that I looked at my watch to see if the end was near. The rocker with the sexual appetite (now there's originality) added nothing and the main actor playing through the love lorn loser scenes were so predictable. This was a terrible movie. The young couple honeymooning and couldn't keep there hands off each other (wow, I would never have guessed that!). This and Jeff's reviews are about equally entertaining. I will now only read his reviews so that if they are highly rated I will go see something else and if he gives something one star then I'll go see that!

All the funny parts were on the commercials-Not to impressed- Full male front nudity-but the actor is ugly! Several people walked out of the movie-

This formula is working well for these people. It's a sad indictment on hollywood though that these types of films are better than the cookie cutter stuff they throw at us every Friday. This falls right in where knocked up stopped, leaving me laughing in the aisles ( sorry to the people behind me ). Very smart and funny dialogue with quick witted actors that keep things light and fun. I'd give it four stars but I just don't think a film like this is ever any better than three. GO SEE IT AND LYAO
