A West Valley man has been charged with stabbing his son during a weekend fight.

According to charges filed Wednesday in 3rd District Court, the 49-year-old man stabbed his son in the hand and arm with a knife Sunday.

When police arrived at the home, near 5800 West and Cranston Cove (4225 South), officers found the bloodied knife in the kitchen sink, according to the charges.

The father faces one count of aggravated assault, a third-degree felony.
