Logan woman accused of murder appears in court
LOGAN A woman accused of stabbing her husband to death made her first appearance in court to face a murder charge.
Bonnie Rae Harper, 57, is charged with first-degree felony murder and intoxication, a class C misdemeanor. According to court records, Harper appeared in Logan's 1st District Court on Monday where she was appointed a public defender and ordered to remain in jail without bail.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 3, where a judge will decide if there is enough evidence to make her stand trial.
Harper is accused of stabbing her husband, James Harper, 48, in the back during a fight at their Logan home on Aug. 21.
