Members of the new Cottonwood Heights police force — 38 strong — are sworn in Tuesday by Judge Daniel Bay Gibbons of the city of Holladay at Cottonwood Heights police offices. The new police department will take over from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office at midnight Sept. 1.
