SOCCER: Due to inclement weather projected for BYU's soccer game against San Diego State today, the game time has been moved up to 1 p.m.

The new time is expected to provide better conditions for both teams and the fans to enjoy the game, while still allowing fans time to attend the BYU-New Mexico football game scheduled at 4 p.m.

Admission to the soccer game will be free.

The Wolverines (7-4-1) improved to 2-0 in the United Soccer Conference with the win while the Bulldogs (1-6-1) dropped to 0-2 in conference.

Turner has scored four times in UVU's last three games and is tied for the team lead along with Jenni Clough and Jennifer Lohner.

"I thought we made some good adjustments at halftime. We scored the same amount of goals in each half but limited their attack in the second half when they had no shots on goal," said head coach Brent Anderson. "The girls are excited with how we're playing but realize we still have better soccer to play."

Nicole Archibald scored the first goal of the game on a header in the 19th minute on a cross from Sara Walker. After Turner's first goal sent UVU into a 2-0 halftime lead, Jaime Lyons picked up her third goal of the season on a Lohner assist in the 62nd minute. Turner capped the scoring on Lohner's second assist of the game in the 74th minute. Lohner has team highs of seven assists and 15 points.

The Wolverines had a 12-2 edge in shots on goal for the game. Goalkeeper Mallory Schott started and played the first half and recorded two saves while Kelley Thompson played the entire second half in goal for UVU.

Utah Valley will face Delaware State on Sunday at 9 a.m. MT in USC action. With their seventh win this season, the Wolverines have matched their best 12-game start in school history and are two wins away from tying the school record for wins in a season.
