Anxiety and guilt related to career decisions affect many women regardless of if they choose to work outside the home, Ph.D. psychologists Melissa Goates-Jones and Lisa Leavitt said at a presentation in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

Both presenters work at the Counseling and Careers Center on the Brigham Young University campus. In their presentation titled "Women and Careers: Role Conflict throughout the Lifespan," Goates-Jones and Leavitt said that frequently women who come seeking counseling often express concern over how they are perceived by their families and church members for their career choices.
