Man charged in stabbing over cell-phone dispute

A 36-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault after he reportedly stabbed another person because of a dispute over a cell phone.

According to charges filed Tuesday in 3rd District Court, the man confronted another person Sept. 22 and accused him of selling his cell phone. During the dispute, the man pulled out a knife. The other person started to walk away and the man stabbed him in the back, causing his lung to collapse.

The man has been charged with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony. Bail has been set at $10,000.
