JORDON BIORGE, Tooele football: Biorge, Tooele's leader on offense and defense and a team captain, played another solid game on Friday night before going down with an injury.

Biorge rushed for nearly 200 yards in a 38-27 loss to Springville before suffering what may be a season-ending knee injury. He scored on a 57-yard touchdown run to close Tooele's opening possession against Springville, and he had an 80-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter.

Biorge, a fullback, has scored six rushing touchdowns this season. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown against Orem.

KAMI MONTGOMERY, Lone Peak, soccer: Kami Montgomery has carved out a niche as the heart of Lone Peak's defense for some time now. Last week, the senior defender also came up big on the offensive end. Montgomery's header in the 89th minute gave the Knights a 1-0 win over Lehi and kept their slim Region 4 title hopes alive.

Montgomery has been a standout on the field for Lone Peak over the past couple of seasons. She was a first-team all-state selection in 2007 and has verbally committed to play soccer for Utah State.

Off the field, Montgomery also excels in the classroom, where she has a 3.81 GPA.
