TUCSON, Ariz., — The Salt Lake Bees scored five runs in the first inning and never looked back as they closed out the 2008 season with a 7-2 win over the Tucson Sidewinders on Monday.

Nick Adenhart (9-13) picked up his second consecutive win in his final tune-up prior to the post-season.

Kasey Olenberger, Henry Bonilla, Kevin Jepsen and Rich Thompson each worked one inning of relief with Olenberger allowing the only run by the bullpen. Dee Brown led Salt Lake with two hits and two runs batted in, while Adam Pavkovich and Freddy Sandoval added two hits each.

The completion of Sunday night's suspended game was forfeited, giving the Bees an official 9-0 win over Tucson. None of the stats accumulated during the two and one-half innings that were played on Sunday will count.

The Bees begin the Pacific Conference Championship series on Wednesday night in Sacramento.
