Salt Lake Bees, Tucson called due to thunderstorms

TUCSON, Ariz., — The Salt Lake Bees and Tucson Sidewinders were suspended by rain after two and one-half innings on Sunday night due to a heavy thunderstorm that hit the ballpark. The game is tied 3-3, as the Bees scored three in the top of the first on a sacrifice fly by Dee Brown and RBI singles from Adam Pavkovich and Terry Evans. The Sidewinders tied the game in the bottom of the first on a two out, three run homer by Jesus Merchan.

The game will resume at 4:30 p.m. and the scheduled game will follow and be reduced to a 7-inning game.
