Charges say man stole wallet, then fell asleep

Call it an open and shut-eye case.

After stealing a wallet from a Holladay apartment, a burglar was caught sleeping in the hallway of the building recently, according to charges filed in 3rd District Court.

On Aug. 22, the 33-year-old West Jordan man took a wallet containing $300 from an apartment, near 4300 South and Highland Drive, and then fell asleep inside the building, court documents state.

He faces charges of burglary, a second-degree felony, and theft, a third-degree felony.
