MormonTimes.com: Tiffany Gee Lewis: At odds with technology

In this digital age of numbers, in a world consisting entirely of zeroes and ones, I find myself constantly at odds with technology.

I am happy living a life that begins with seed packets and ends with heavy Victorian sentences nestled in dusty books. The modern world is entirely too crisp and busy for my taste. Give me goats and a quilting frame, a paddle for churning butter and lavender-scented linen stretched across a clothesline. These are the things I think about.

My husband, however, thinks about his Apple stock and the blogging class he's teaching this fall. It's a sore spot in our home that I have yet to post a single entry onto our family blog, and that after 20 tutorials I still can't download photos from our digital camera.

"You were born in the wrong era," my husband often says. He dreams of the day we will be equally yoked in tracking our finances online and syncing our matching iPhones. I dream of being equally yoked as well, only it's behind a wooden plow on our sprawling farm.
