Salt Lake Bees rally to beat Cubs
The Bees trailed 7-5 going into the seventh inning, but Kendry Morales belted a two-run homer to tie the game.
Brandon Wood followed with a single and Dee Brown put Salt Lake in front with another two-run blast.
Brad Coon, who was activated off the disabled list on Tuesday, added some insurance with a two-run triple in the ninth.
Iowa loaded the bases with two out in the bottom of the ninth and Jason Dubois singled in a run to make it 11-8, but Jason Bulger got Matt Craig to fly out to end the game.
Henry Bonilla (5-2) tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the win and Bulger recorded his 14th save despite allowing his first run since May 8.
Brown led Salt Lake with two hits and RBIs, while Morales added three hits and three RBIs. Coon and Tim Duff each drove in two runs for the Bees, who have now won five of the first seven games on their midwestern road trip.
To make room for Coon, the parent Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim reassigned infielder Adam Morrissey to double-A Arkansas.
