First down: The big news out of Tuesday's practice was coach Bronco Mendenhall's announcement that center Tom Sorensen would likely be out 4-6 weeks due to a shoulder injury. Mendenhall was pleased with the way practice went Tuesday, saying it was much sharper than Monday's.

Head-turner: Placekicker Justin Sorensen, who struggled with his accuracy on Monday, bounced back to drill some field goals Tuesday.

Injury report: Tom Sorensen was scheduled to have a consultation with a doctor Tuesday. Surgery is likely, according to Mendenhall.
