Today has been forecast as a "yellow" air-quality day for Salt Lake, Davis, Utah and Weber counties, the Department of Environmental Quality said.

With ozone levels expected to rise, air-quality officials are asking northern Utah residents to leave their cars at home, take mass transit and consolidate trips.

Air-quality conditions for Cache County are expected to be "green," or good.
