Poor choice for honoree
Every year the Freedom Festival honors individuals who have "espoused the cause of freedom throughout the world." This year the Freedom Festival has failed in that goal and diminished the prestige of past and present recipients in honoring Jack Thompson. Cited as an advocate for working to keep obscenity, indecency and profanity out of the entertainment industry, the festival committee has overlooked his methods for doing this work. He is currently facing disbarment from the Florida Bar after being found guilty of 27 counts of professional misconduct. I believe in fighting for decency. However, Jack Thompson fights without honor, integrity or honesty.
