The Blue Boar Inn & Restaurant opened its outdoor patio, The Hinterhof, to breakfast, lunch and dinner guests for the summer. Diners can enjoy mountain views and a fresh summer menu. Every Tuesday during the summer season, Bavarian specials will be served, such as chicken scallopini with spaetzle and a Bavarian sausage plate with house-made sauerkraut. The Wienerschnitzel hot dog chain is offering a free signature Chili Dog or Kid's Cone on July 15, 58 p.m. The giveaway is a celebration of both Hot Dog Month and Ice Cream Month, both designated in July (www.wienerschnitzel.com).
Chipotle Mexican Grill is offering the "Le Burrito" burrito in honor of the American cycling team, Garmin-Chipotle presented by H30, which will compete in the Tour de France. The Le Burrito is filled with naturally raised chicken, black beans, cilantro lime rice, mild tomato salsa and guacamole. The menu item will be featured in Chipotle restaurants nationwide during the Tour de France, which runs July 5-27.
The Old Spaghetti Factory was named as one of the Top 10 Kid-Friendly restaurant chains by Parents Magazine this month. Parents investigated more than 50 full-service and buffet-style chains on everything from kid amenities and healthy choices to accommodating food allergies. This summer, the restaurant debuts two trolley car-themed pasta bowls, with the artwork designed by kids through a nationwide contest.

KJZZ-TV last week began airing a new show, "Cooking Delight," on KJZZ-14 on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The show is hosted by Jennifer Burns, an Ogden Valley resident, and features original recipes, celebrity guests, live musician and different artists.
The goal of the show is to inspire viewers to become more creative while cooking with their family and friends, said Burns (www.KJZZ.com).
