Lane restrictions planned for road work
• Southbound I-15 in Lehi: Crews will be cleaning up the median from milepost 273 to milepost 283. They will have equipment in the HOV lane from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday, which will close down the HOV lane overnight.
• 800 North in Orem: The north side of 800 East is now open while 400 East remains closed for paving. Crews are also paving from 800 East to 1000 East. Starting Sunday traffic will be shifted to the north side of 800 North from 800 East to 1000 East while paving takes place on the south side.
• State Street in Lindon: Traffic has been shifted to the east side of State Street work is under way on the west side of the tunnel. Beginning Sunday speed limits will be reduced to 30 mph through the construction zone and no left turns will be allowed through the zone as well. The restriction will continue through August.
• State Route 73 near 3130 West: Construction continues on a box culvert under S.R. 73 as part of a Jordan River Trail Enhancement. Starting Sunday traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction with lower speed limits through the construction zone.
• University Parkway in Orem: Construction crews continue with the rotomilling and resurfacing of Geneva Road to east of 400 West (near the Krispy Kreme). Work will take place Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be shifted to one side with one lane open in each direction. Construction is scheduled to be completed in early July.
Flaggers, signs and other traffic control devices will be placed to guide motorists through the construction zone. UDOT says to plan for moderate delays and encourages motorists to use caution and travel at the posted speed limits while driving through work zones.
