Trio rob and stab a man taking a walk in Orem
The victim, 57, was taking a walk along 1600 South toward the Texaco station at 1594 S. State when three Hispanic males emerged and attacked him. The three men, who were reported to be in their early- to mid-20s, took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim before stabbing him three times, Orem Police Lt. Todd Mallinson said.
After the stabbing, the man continued under his own power and made it to the convenience store, at which point the Orem police were notified. Paramedics transported the man to the Utah Valley Medical Center, where he was reported to be in fair condition.
The clerk working at the convenience store told police the man was a daily customer.
There were no witnesses to the stabbing. The matter is still under investigation, and police have not yet identfied any suspects.
