PROVO — Community Action Services and Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity of Utah County will honor the 12 graduates of Utah County's new Getting Ahead in a Just-Getting-By World program at a reception Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Scenicview Center, 5485 N. River Run Drive.

The Getting Ahead program is a step-by-step life planning program that includes facilitated education, group support and hands-on experiences. Participants attend weekly group sessions for 10-12 weeks.

The overall goal of the program is to help area families work together to break the poverty cycle, find solutions to community issues and build bridges to a more stable and productive life.
