Jazz point guard Deron Williams has gone above and beyond trying to get his teammates involved early on in games during the 2008 NBA postseason.

But after watching Utah fritter away first halves — as it's done in the first two games, both losses, of the of the Jazz's ongoing Western Conference semifinal series with the Los Angeles Lakers — Williams plans a different approach for tonight's Game 3.

He will look to strike "a balance."

A balance, that is, between involving others and taking matters into his own hands.

"I'm gonna be aggressive from the start," Williams said after the Jazz's shootaround this morning.

"Sometimes I sacrifice my scoring," he added, "and it's tough to get going."

Williams had 25 points in Game 2 on Wednesday night — but just three in the opening half.
