VICTORIA, British Columbia — The Victoria Salmon Kings scored six goals in the third period to erase a 1-0 deficit and defeat the Utah Grizzlies 6-1 Sunday night in the ECHL's National Conference semifinals.

The best-of-seven series between Utah and Victoria is now tied, 1-1, and headed back to the E-Center for games Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Tyler Haskins gave Utah a 1-0 lead on a penalty-shot 18:03 into the first period for his fourth goal of the playoffs and his fourth goal of the young series.

Utah goaltender Nathan Lawson stopped all 17 Victoria shots through two periods before the Salmon Kings attack began.

The Salmon Kings scored on a power-play 2:18 into the third period to tie the game and start the rally. Wes Goldie scored off of a Utah turnover at 8:30 to give Victoria a 2-1 and they never looked back, tacking on four more goals in the final 8:52 to make the game 6-1. The Grizzlies were suddenly plagued by penalties and turnovers in the third period. Lawson, who had stopped 104 of the last 106 shots that he saw in the previous 11 periods, allowed six goals on ten shots in the third as his defense struggled in front of him.
